The town set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia
Scenario
Unravel the mystery of a town in the central United States that imprisons all who enter. As the townspeople struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. The site, known as Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history and many years ago contained housing, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc.
When Boyd enters a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well
(all demolished in 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. Cobblestone streets and alleys were all that remained, and the fake town was built on top of it. A rope is thrown to him by (presumably) Martin in the room above despite the fact that his wrists are chained.
This show was so much better than I expected
Featured in Half in the Bag: 2022 Mid-Year Catch-Up Part 1 (TV Shows) (2022 ). Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) Written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans Performed by The Pixies. I thought the whole premise didn’t have much potential, but it was something else.
But I have to say, after the finale, I was blown away!
However, I still have so many questions that need to be answered especially after the last scenes of the season 2 finale (which isn’t necessarily a negative). I just think we deserved at least some answers before we have to wait for season 3. I just hope the show’s creators keep it up and maybe even improve on it.
This one has potential
I’m tired of good shows being completely wasted by the creators. If all the questions are answered logically and interestingly, and if we get an intriguing ending that includes everyone going home, this will surely be one of the greatest shows out there.
